Jiří Příhoda: gPod
The artist was inspired to create gPod by the American phenomenon of the garage, whereby he does not perceive the garage as a mere parking shelter, but as a special space set aside for everything that does not fit into the residential house, a space for storing currently unnecessary things, also dedicated to hobbies, DIY, as well as hidden activities. It is a sequel to Příhoda’s creation of cells, hermitages and abodes. (Procházka Hall)
Vendula Chalánková: Deficit
A series of paintings with varied subject matter, derived from the life of a typical Czech middle-class household, accompanied by the artist’s paintings of geometrical compositions, a new cycle of collages and original drawings from comic strips which have already become popular. (J. Král Gallery)
The Future of Brno City Centre
A commented exhibition tour will take place every full hour between 6 pm and 12 pm. The exhibition in the lobby of the House of Arts displays entries to the competition on the urban and transport design of the new Brno railway station on both the site under Petrov Hill and in the Southern Centre site. An exhibition organsed by the City of Brno and CCEA MOBA in cooperation with the Brno House of Arts. Programme
